Take a break at Brighton's West Pier
|
|
| Quote: | Brighton's West Pier was a magnificent and unique English seaside promenade and pleasure pier built over 130 years ago by Eugenius Birch. Closed since 1975, it suffered decay at the hands of battering waves but miraculously survived, fundamentally unchanged since 1916, until 2002/2003 when fire stripped the pier bare leaving just a skeleton of iron work. The grandeur and magic of seaside England lost forever.
The pier was built out from the sea using dozens of iron columns, literally screwed into the seabed and strengthened by a mesh of metal ties, braces and girders. Atop the substructure was a wooden promenade deck, which allowed visitors seemingly to be at sea and walk on water without the hazards of getting wet or being sea sick.
The Overall Structure and the West Pier’s component buildings are still of historical and architectural importance. They represent a culmination of the skills of the Victorian engineer as mechanic, architect and artist; skills honed in the great age of railway construction and bridge building and based on new materials and technologies arising from the industrial revolution earlier in the century.
The West Pier in the only pier in the world to be Grade 1 architecturally listed - it’s form, proportions and style are unrivalled. |

River Cruise @ Windsor's River Thames
|
|
| Quote: | | Gie cruise ni lepas memakan segala buah berries @ Copas Farm |
Fuhhh ... lega, tempoh berkurung dah tamat though keje sekolah makin bertimbun ... hu hu hu. Sepanjang bulan Julai actually weekend mmg kami tak melekat kat rumah, ada shj aktiviti ... cuma masa utk mengedit gambar yang tak ada masa. Stok gambar mmg bertimbun2 gak, cuma kureng timbunnye berbanding dgn paper2 journal yg perlu dibaca ...
Entry kali ni nak story pasal river cruise @ Windsor's River Thames. Lepas picnic / lunch di tepi sungai (kes penat sokmo selepas gi fruit picking tue), kami sepakat utk explore kat cni .. naik cruise dlm masa 40 minutes dari Windsor Deck ke Boveney Lock and return. Dpt lah tgk view sepanjang dlm cruise tue antaranya Windsor Castle (ni dah masuk pun dulu), Eton College, Mill House, Windsor Racecourse dan Brocas Meadows.

Moga dengan lahirnya Nazeem Sabir dapat mengukuhkan lagi keharmonian rumahtangga u alls dan yang penting ... your journey to get the highest degree become easier n smoother ... insya Allah.

Fruit Picking @ Copas Farms
|
|
Dah lama rasanya tak mengupdate fp ni. Apa erk yg dibuat dekat sebulan sampai naik bersawang dah fp ni ? he he he .... selain bz ngan kerja2 sekolah, jalan2 ke London (yang ni malas lah nak letak kat fp, naik muak pulak karang citer pasal London), banyak gak rupanya benda2 lain yg out of control.
Sempena independence weekend (coz dah submit yearly annual review, ahaks ...), kami ke fruit picking di PYO Cookham Copas Farm, area Slough. Tapi yang tak bestnyer, weekend tu hari hujan ... but we still gigih gak gie ngan geng teruna IC.
Jari jemari my wife memetik strawberries.
Bestnyer farm ni utk entry, FOC ... yahuuuuu. Kami apa lagi, makan sepuas2 hati kat dlm tue wlpn terang dan nyata ada tertulis DO NOT ALLOW EATING OF ANY OUR FRUITS . Sebabnya, org lain pun buat perkara yang sama . Mula2 tue kami ke area strawberries. Since hari masih hujan, buah2 tu pun terlalu segar utk dimakan !! Ni atas tanah, siap kami langkah2 lagi batas dia.
Jenuh gak utk mendapatkan buah yang betul2 manis, at last ... we got it, kat batas yang memang belakang sekali. Memang kat area situ buah Cherry tu manis yang amat. Might be sbb at the back row kan, orang pun malas lah nak ke situ kecuali kami. Ha ha ha. Well done to ur great job Hafiz for keep searching ... wlpn kaki dah lenguh2. Dah penuh 1 bakul ngan buah Cherries, kami berpindah pulak ke Raspberries area.
Bila sampai kat area Raspberries ni memang teruja utk memetiknya, but since we did not find out batas yang menghasilkan buah yang manis, tambah pulak tak boleh lompat batas ... kami membatalkan niat utk explore kaw ni. Kaki lenguh beb ... tambah pulak hujan tak henti, memang terlalu sejuk. My wife says "just buy it from Tesco, kaki pun tak lenguh"
The last pit stop, kami ke batas pokok yang berketurunan berries ... Gooseberries. Memang seumur hidup tak tau buah apa ni. Belek punya belek ... macam buah cermai kat belakang rumah kg Muar (satu ketika dulu bila pokok ni ada la) pun ada. Rasa punya rasa ... memang tak best buah ni, kami pun ignore aje lah ... he he he.
Ni lah rupa Gooseberry, red in colour tu indicates sedia utk dimakan lah.
Actually, farm ni ada gak area utk vegie dipetik, tak silap ada broad beans, peas and courgettes. Tapi kami tak excited pun utk ke kawasan tue . Baik beli aje kan, tak kotor tangan n kasut, he he he. Utk tidak menampakkan yang kami ni melahap segala buah kat farm tue, org kata buat 'jahat' tue biarlah berpada-pada yea .... kat cashier, kami pun hulur lah bakul yang berisi buah strawberry n cherry utk dibayar .... tak sampai pun £9. Memang berbaloi !!! Dgn perut kenyang lagi kan . Anybody who interested to get an experience in PYO fruits, please do not hesitate to browse this website www.copasfarms.co.uk. Ni bukan promote farm ni yea ... just to share our enjoyable experiences. What a wonderful world !!! ... see you on the next entry yea ...
Ni lah hasil tuaian kami ...

Paris - Musee du Louvre & La Pyramide
|
|
The last day in Paris (27 May), kami sempat explore several attrcation areas which were includes Musee du Louvre and it's sorrounding area : La Pyramide, Carrousel Arc de Triomphe, Pont des Arts and Institute de France. Sebab dah kesuntukan waktu (kena check out and balik ke London ptg tu jugak), kami melawat those areas tu sekejap2 aje ... mmg terkejar2 dibuatnya.
Musee du Louvre : inside of this place, we can find the most famous works of art of in the world including the portrait of Mona Lisa, the ancient Winged Victory, the statue of Venus de Milo, and thousands of other priceless works donated to the museum many of which were originally collected privately by French Royalty throughout history. Not enought time to explore this place within a short time period ... tak menghayati !!!
Actually, when was the first time I saw this sculpture ... menatang apalah ni until finally I found the info from internet ... it's called as the Carrousel Arc de Triomphe. Napoleon I built this triumphal arch at the entrance to the courtyard of the Louvre palace inconjunction to celebrate the battle of Austerlitz in 1806.
Sorrounding area at Pont des Arts (bendalah ni jambatan la)
This bridge originally built in 1804 made from an iron, located just next to the Louvre and above of la Seine, This bridge was however, rebuilt in 1985. Can see some artists and painters as their meeting place ... tapi tak de lah cantek sgtk drawing depa ... molek lagi drawing kat Central Market !!. At the end of the bridge, can see the Institue de France. From the bridge, can see Palais de Justice ... but no in clear la ... ala2 sayup je.

Paris - Disney Studios
|
|
There are about 14 studios inside of this park (if I note mistaken). Due the time dah nak masuk senja and respectively most of us in exhaustive after strolling pampered in Disneyland Park's, we drop in to Disney Studios within limited time only. Among those studios yang sempat kami explore were Art of Disney Animation (full with classic cartoon Disney movie, my wife suka la ….), Crush Coaster (is a roller coaster accompanied by music hard rock powerful ones ... bagai nak gugur jantung ku --> tapi kat gambar tetap cool beb), Armageddon studio (of course about Armageddon in the making ..) and also Stitch Live (jahat sangat kau Stitch). The only studio that we were indeed daydreams and really wanted to look but, finally kempunan (hu hu hu) adalah Hollywood Tower Hotel … sebab member lain penakut sokmo. Sabo ajelah!
Sempat gak kami tgk the High School Musical show in live ... tahap energy dia org mmg boombastic
Coming soon cartoon movie from Disney will be ... Walls Robot
Studio 7 ... Armageddon Effects Special ...
My wife kempunan tak dapat masuk Hollywood Tower Hotel. 'Sia2' aje kalau husband dia bagi masuk tau !! Karang ada orang yang bleeding kat Disney Studio pulak ..
Chip Munk malu-malu bila jumpa ngan kita orang ...
What a wonderful memories ...

Paris - Disneyland Park
|
|
Disneyland Park ni divided into 4 main attraction areas; Main Street USA, Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Frontierland. For more details each of them, just click this url http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/interactive-map.xhtml . From our experience, there was not enough time to explore all in one day, spent your holiday time about two or three days here ... baru berbaloi, lebih-lebih lagi kpd yang ada anak dah besor tu macam Ta n Su (you know who you are) ... . To all my nephews and nieces, baik ajak Ayah n Mama / Ibu ke sini ... tak pun tunggu besar panjang macam Uncle D n Mak Su ni, baru merasa .
the Sleeping Beauty Castle
Kanak-kanak ribena yang dah besar panjang ...
Infront of the Main Street USA

Belakang tu ... namanya Orbitron = rocket ships, di belakang nya pula Space Mountain: Mission 2. Dua-dua tak naik pun ... he he he.
